This is a story about my depressing life that i need to let ppl know. I had this breakout from dry skin in november 2008 and still have acne right now. My face is always red and there are always pimples on my forehead and some on my cheeks. I went to the last 3 weeks ago and he told me that i had toxins in my body that needs to get out. So he gave me probiotic and digestive enzyme capsules to help make me go poop. The real problem is that my face is red. This redness is not rosacea(doctor told me) and its just there since last november. I cant even...

Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.  »View More

I don’t believe him. First one said it’s rosacea…that was a year ago and like $200 worth of medications (even with my insurance paying for most of it – $200 was my copay!)…I stopped that right away…I know my neck acne has to be folliculitis, it is big nodules and small little bumps that I pick at constantly and form scabs and dry up, then I pick them again and they bleed…they’re not pus-filled… any ideas? This money-monger new schmuck won’t admit it’s folliculitis – lemme...

If anyone out there has a home remedy for acne- please fil me in! I have tried white toothpaste (it works to a degree) and everything else OTC, but if someone has a old home remedy, let me know! I don’t mean severe acne, I mean ones that pop up from time to time. I wash my face with a mild soap twice a day with lukewarm water and follow up with a cold rinse to close pores. Help anyone?  »View More

I have moderate acne which is starting to get better, because I am using these doxcycline (I dunno if I spelt it right) tablets. Should I stay on these tablets for a while? It’s improving a bit, but is there anyway of getting rid of them faster? PS : I’ve been on them for nearly 3 weeks WP Affiliate Shop Plugin  »View More

In the past I used to wake up in the morning with the fear of going to the mirror and discovering a new pimple. Today, while my acne is under control for the most part, I wake up and discover some new development in technology has just set me back two steps even though I gained a step yesterday. If you are confused let me try to explain. When I was young, if apples and acne were mentioned in the same breath, it would have immediately brought to mind an image of the apple cider vinegar bottle that was the main ingredient in my number one treatment...

What is the best way for men with light skin to treat moderate, persistent acne on the face? Acutane seems like overkill and is expensive. Pills like oracea or minocin have helped, but they have not given me clear skin, only a reduction in redness and acne. Topicals like finacea or metrogel are useless and irritating because I also have rosacea. I have tried IPL photofacial and it worked better than anything else, but I am still wondering if there could be an equally effective solution that is less expensive. Or, should I commit to a consistent...

Hi, I’ve used Duac Topical Gel (1% Clindamyacin, 5% Benzoyl Peroxide) for acne with lots of success. However, I was hoping to find an over-the-counter treatment that works similarly. I would be happy with a product that had only 5% Benzoyl Peroxide, if one can’t get Clindamyacin over-the-counter. Any suggestions? I have rosacea-prone skin, so I need something gentle on the skin (that’s why I can’t use 10% BP). The only rub is that I live in Germany, and so I was hoping someone had a recommendation for something I can find...

I been using clearasil ultra for my acne but it’s a little to harsh for my skin and hasn’t been working that well. I’ve been using it for about 2 months and the acne goes away but leaves horrale red dots and by time they go away new acne comes. Does anyone know a simple home remedy to make that will help my acne, and maybe even help my dry skin? Also if you know any good products for acne that works well let me know. Thanks.  »View More

for ten years i have had on/off acne. when i was younger it started out as nasty bad acne on my chin, nose and forehead. then it cleared up to just the random spot or three usually on my chin or jaw. for nearly a year now i have developed a rosacea type rash of lumps on my cheeks. they are small and on some days not too noticeable. the skin gets dry there too. does anybody know if there is anything i can try first before i go to the doctor about this problem?  »View More

After researching home remedies for acne, I’ve made a list. I was wondering if I just try them all over a period of time, like a different one each day, one in the morning, one at night. This kind of stuff… I’ve tried prescription creams and they only have mediocre results. I don’t have horrible acne, which is why I don’t want to pay 50 bucks for an ounce of cream (after insurance too) that only has a slight impact. That’s like a shirt or a pair of jeans on clearance… I keep my face clean, eat healthy, and...
